It’s possible to hail them on the street, if the taxi green light on their roof is on. Booking a taxi in advance with us will be same price than hailing one. We can also help you with finding the right service, e.g. if you need child seats in the vehicle.
Stay Safe in Estepona
You may be approached by private drivers seeking passengers or offering a service; avoid this as these are unsafe, unlicensed, uninsured and illegal and you put yourself in danger if you use these services.
Never use an unmarked -or pirate taxi- since their drivers are unlicensed and in some cases may be dangerous. Only legal taxis can be stopped by customers and can pick up off the street.
Booking your taxi with a licensed taxi company guarantees that your trip will be carried out by a licensed driver in a licensed vehicle. It also means that a record is kept of your journey, your driver and the vehicle used. Therefore, in the event of any problems, the driver can be traced.
Taxi Fares and Tips
As well as being safe, reliable and accessible, Estepona taxis are great value too.
All licensed taxis have a fully regulated taximeter, updated and controlled by regional Government.
Fares are metered, and there is a minimum charge of €3.05. We DO NOT apply additional charges when you take a taxi from any taxi rank, book by telephone or email. You will not be charged extra either if you have big luggage.
Many taxis accept payment by credit or debit card but check with the driver before the trip starts. Card payments can attract additional charges. Most taxi drivers speak English and all will give you a receipt at the end of your ride if you want it.
Tipping is not included in the fare and it's definitely allowed. You can tip taxi drivers as much as you like.

Málaga and Gibraltar airport from Estepona
You can book a private airport transfer through taxiestepona@hotmail.com for up to four passengers. Your driver will pick you up from Málaga airport and meet and greet you at the terminal.
